In this unit pupils taste a range of fruit and vegetables to develop their sensory skills. They explore why people eat different types of food, such as time of day or culture, and plan and make a salad for their family.
You will learn to make a stripy salad pot.
A vegetable peeler is used to peel away the skin of carrots and other vegetables. The food skills used to make a salad pot are peeling, cutting, measuring, grating and layering.
