Year 10 - French
Popular culture: les médias
This unit expands topic-specific vocabulary on a range of media topics, including TV and cinema, computer technology and social networks. It further develops pupil knowledge of negation, revisiting previously met negative structures and introducing ne...ni...ni... with all tenses.
You will learn to understand and use negative structures to enhance description of a TV series.
Indefinite articles (un, une, des) and partitive articles (du, de la, de l', des) change to 'de' after a negative. [i] sounds like midi.
two elements, e.g. 'ne … pas' around the main verb expressing negative meaning. Say or write it in a short sentence so you use the word actively.
Mistake: Indefinite and partitive articles are used after negative structures. Correction: After a negative structure has been used, indefinite and partitive articles replaced by 'de', e.g. 'je n'ai pas de pain'.
