Places and people in the UK
This unit teaches pupils about the human geography of the UK. Pupils learn about population distribution, the location of cities and the impacts of migration. Pupils also learn about the role of the UK government and the EU and the importance of globalisation in the UK's changing economy.
You will learn to compare the changes that have occurred in different economic sectors.
There has been a decline in the primary and secondary sectors in rural and urban areas. There has been a rise in the tertiary and quaternary sectors in rural and urban areas.

Mistake: All forms of primary and secondary industry have declined in all areas. Correction: While the general trend has been one of decline, some aspects of primary and secondary industries have become more successful such as organic farming.
