Norfolk became part of the Danelaw in 865 CE. A rebellion against Roman occupation of Norfolk was brutally put down in 60 CE.

Mistake: William took land from Anglo-Saxons and gave it to his Norman followers. Correction: While William certainly did redistribute land from Anglo-Saxons to Normans, he followed a legal process for this, based on forfeiture - he took the lands of those who did not submit to him as their king, which included those fighting him at Hastings.
