Year 10 - Maths
Sampling
In this unit pupils will learn how to sample, and explore accuracy and limitations with various sampling strategies and data collection techniques.
You will learn to evaluate various real-world questionnaires and identify bias in questioning.
Questionnaires are used in a variety of jobs. Questionnaires may have been designed to hide intentional bias.
A questionnaire is a set of written questions designed to collect information from a respondent. Use this word when showing your method, then check your final answer is reasonable.
Mistake: Pupils may unintentionally add bias to their questions. Correction: Have other pupils check questions for any bias and support their peers in rewording them.
