In this unit pupils will study some of the key practices associated with Christianity such as worship, sacraments and pilgrimage. They will compare and contrast differences in practices before moving on to look at the practical work of the Church in society.
You will learn to explain the role of the worldwide Church with reference to perseuction, reconciliation and charity.
The role of the worldwide Church in the community includes reconciliation, responding to persecution and charity work. Persecution refers to hostility and ill-treatment, especially on the basis of ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs.
