Year 10 - Spanish
My personal world: la vida fuera y dentro del colegio
In this unit, pupils revisit irregular verb stems 'tuve' and 'hice', and learn new irregular stems. Pupils consolidate the second person singular for -er and -ir verbs in the preterite and now learn the second person plural. They learn 'sin' with an infinitive to mean 'without doing'.
You will learn to write a detailed description of after-school experiences using a range of features.
Preterite endings for -er/-ir verbs are -í, -iste, -ió (singular persons) and -ieron (third person plural). A detailed description often has a wide range of features.
a tense used for events completed in the past. Say or write it in a short sentence so you use the word actively.
Mistake: All the singular persons of -ar, -er, and -ir verbs in the preterite have an accent. Correction: Only the 'I' and 'she, he, it' forms have an accent. For -ar verbs, the endings are -é and -ó; for -er and -ir verbs the endings are -í and -ió.
