Year 10 - Spanish
Travel and tourism: nuevos lugares
This unit revisits singular forms of the inflectional future tense, and introduces plural forms. It also introduces further irregular stems. Pupils learn pronouns 'alguno/a/os/as' and 'ninguno/a/os/as', the present tense with 'desde hace', and 'llevar' with a time period and present participle.
You will learn to understand a longer text and respond to questions about future plans.
Identifying sound-spelling links can help you with listening and reading in Spanish and completing dictation tasks. The sound-spelling correspondence [que] sounds like 'porque' and [qui] like 'equipo'.
language-learning or testing activity where students write down what they hear. Say or write it in a short sentence so you use the word actively.
Mistake: When answering questions, I can use the verb in the question to start my answer. Correction: You can start your answer using the question verb but it's important to not copy the question word-for-word. If questions use 2nd person verbs, you need to change them to 1st person, changing 'you' verbs into 'I' or 'we' forms.
