Health and wellbeing: yoga, pilates and mindfulness for life
This unit will develop pupils' awareness of the restorative powers of pilates, mindfulness and other daily routines that can support holistic wellbeing and help with stress management. Pupils will experience a variety of classes and also learn about the power of breathwork.
You will learn to link yoga poses together in a flowing sequence coordinated with the breath.
Move: flow sequences are achieved through linking the breath with the movement. Move: balancing in more complex poses requires a combination of strength, focus and breath control.
