This unit challenges pupils to problem solve and make good decisions under pressure in T1 rugby games and scenarios. Pupils will apply more advanced tactics and strategies whilst securing their understanding of the nuances in the laws of the game.
You will learn to kick the ball from a kick off and in open play to make progress past the gain line.
Move: kicking the ball with the laces of the foot for greater accuracy and control over the direction of the kick. Move: follow through with an upward motion of the kicking leg to kick the ball higher.

Mistake: Pupils think that it is always best to pass when in a difficult situation. Correction: Retaining possession through accurate kicks can at times make more yards than passing and being tagged.
