Year 11 - Spanish
Communication and the world around us: Repaso - la vida diaria y en línea
This first revision unit covers all persons of the present and preterite. Pupils strengthen direct objects and modal verbs. They contrast the preterite and imperfect, use imperfect forms of 'estar' with a present participle to discuss actions in progress, and use the preterite for interruptions.
You will learn to use direct object pronouns and respond to role-play scenarios in the context of shopping.
Use the DOP 'lo' to mean 'him' or 'it' for masculine objects, and 'la' to mean 'her' or 'it' for feminine objects. Use the DOP 'los' to mean 'them' for masculine objects, and 'las' to mean 'them' for feminine objects.
replaces the noun receiving the action of the verb e.g. 'me', 'you', 'it', 'them'. Say or write it in a short sentence so you use the word actively.
Mistake: I should include as much detail as possible in role-play answers. Correction: When performing a role-play, answers should contain one verb and be concise. Do not add unnecessary detail.
