A diverse range of approaches will be used in this unit to investigate houses in both an artistic and an architectural style. Drawing and printing techniques will be explored before pupils investigate how architects design environmentally friendly houses or flats, then design their own eco-home.
You will learn to use different lines and shapes to draw key features of buildings.
Architects create architectural drawings to share their ideas and so that builders know what to build. Buildings have key features such as arches, columns, windows and domes.

Mistake: All architectural designs are symmetrical. Correction: Some buildings are also asymmetrical.
