A stylistic approach applies Action-Space-Dynamics-Relationships in combination to cultural, historic and geographic factors. Pupils learn key features of different dance genres e.g. stance and formations as a stimulus for devising motifs and developing awareness of commonality between cultures.
You will learn to create a simple Line Dancing motif and apply changes in direction.
Move: performing a Line Dance motif requires us to perform actions in a set order with changes in direction. Move: performing actions at the same time, in unison, requires careful timing and control.

Mistake: Line dancing must use the feet. Correction: Whilst it is typically performed with an emphasis on footwork, this can easily be adapted to use the arms or any other body part. The emphasis is on the use of a repeating pattern, with a change of direction through 90'.
