In this unit, pupils will focus on the concept of prayer. They will gain an understanding of diversity in Christian prayer and consider the Lord's Prayer. From this they will examine the importance of prayer in Islam. Finally they will consider humanist responses to prayer
You will learn to describe different ways that Muslims pray.
Praying five times a day is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, this is called salat. Prayer can take place at home or in the mosque.

Mistake: Muslims only pray in the mosque for salat. Correction: Muslims pray at home, in the mosque or any clean ground for salat.
