Global food and dishes
In this unit pupils are introduced to a range of food and dishes, some familiar and some unfamiliar. They explore different ingredients, equipment and utensils used globally, and make an 'international' salad.
You will learn to make an international salad.
We can get inspiration for dishes by looking at food and cuisines around the world. Salads can make healthy meals as they contain lots of fruit and vegetables, as well as pasta, noodles, rice or potatoes.

Mistake: A salad must contain lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Correction: Salads can contain a wide range of different ingredients. We can take inspiration from around the world and choose different ingredients.
