Prophet Muhammad: how does he inspire Muslims today?
In this unit pupils will deepen their understanding of Islam through a study of the Prophet Muhammad. They will examine the context in which he grew up, and how his message challenged the society around him. They will explore how, for many Muslims, he is an inspiring role model for them today.
You will learn to explain how the Qur'an and Hadith influence Muslims today.
After Prophet Muhammad died, his revelations were gathered together into the Qur'an. Other sayings and deeds were collected in the Hadith which inspires Muslims today.

Mistake: The Qur'an was authored by the Prophet Muhammad. Correction: Most Muslims believe that the Qur'an was revealed to Muhammad and is the word of God (Allah). The Hadith contain sayings of Muhammad collected by his companions.
