Spirituality: how is art used in religions and beliefs?
In this unit pupils will build on their understanding of spirituality. They will examine how many worldviews use art to help express their beliefs. They will connect Islamic teachings on images to the development of calligraphy. They will examine different Christian attitudes to images.
You will learn to produce a piece of art that shows your beliefs and values.
All people have beliefs and values which may be religious or non religious. Beliefs may be about the world, our lives, morals of other people or about our meaning and importance.
