Through three recipes, pupils showcase accurate and precise food skills through dicing, weighing and measuring, and portioning, as well as presentation techniques. Pupils will be more confident and show greater independence in their cooking.
You will learn to use food skills to make a tear 'n' share pizza.
A pizza base is bread dough, which uses yeast. As the dough rests and bakes, yeast produces gas, which makes it rise. Precise cutting, spreading and rolling are important to make eight uniform sized pizza rolls which will cook evenly.

Mistake: The base of a pizza is always covered in a sauce made from tomatoes. Correction: While a sauce made from tomatoes is traditional, the base can also be covered in pesto, a cheese sauce, or just garlic and oil.
