The fundamentals of effective discussion
In this unit, pupils solidify and build thier spoken language skills. They start by learning what an effective discussion is and how they can use listening skills effectively. They then look at how questions and evidence can improve discussions before practising have conversations.
You will learn to develop a discussion by responding appropriately and asking effective questions.
Discussion can be more spontaneous than other forms of spoken language. Using the ABC strategy can help you to respond in a discussion and develop comments.
