This unit will enhance pupils' ability to respond effectively to physical challenges and problems. A key focus will be on developing planning and strategic thinking by requiring pupils to methodically solve problems under time constraints. Pupils will develop critical reflection skills.
You will learn to think methodically to find a logical solution to a problem.
Move: engaging our core and bending from our knees when lifting, protects our back. Think: problem solving requires you to find creative solutions to complex tasks.

Mistake: You only need to use safe lifting technique if the item is heavy. Correction: Whenever we are bending down to something pick up, we still must bend from the knees and protect our back to prevent possible straining from leaning over.
