Invasion games: basic tactics to overcome opponents through netball
This unit will build on fundamental skills and apply tactics to overcome opponents through netball. Development of basic passing, receiving, footwork, dodging, shooting, and defending skills with positivity in small sided games. Pupils will learn the rules of netball and names of major bones.

Move: keeping in line with the ball will ensure accurate reading of the game. Think: having an understanding of the basic rules of the game is essential o officiate.

Mistake: Pupils think when they go offside or do footwork they have to stand out of play as this is a penalty pass. Correction: Both of these infringements do not include another player so a free pass is awarded. If a player obstructs or contacts an oppositing player a penalty pass is then awarded.
