This unit will build on fundamental skills and apply tactics to overcome opponents through netball. Development of basic passing, receiving, footwork, dodging, shooting, and defending skills with positivity in small sided games. Pupils will learn the rules of netball and names of major bones.

- centre pass: starts the game from the centre circle. The centre pass is then alternated between each team after a goal has been scored
- free pass: awarded to the opposing team for a minor incident. Usually an error the individual has made i.e. not involving anyone else
- penalty pass: a penalty involving another player that is taken where the infringement occurred and the offending player stands out of play
Common Mistakes To Avoid
- Pupils think when they go offside or do footwork they have to stand out of play as this is a penalty pass.
