Year 7 - Science
Forces
This unit focuses on quantifying and comparing energy transfers in different processes, such as motion changes, electrical circuits, and fuel burning. It examines forces as interactions between objects, using diagrams and measurements, including contact and non-contact forces.
You will learn to use newton meters to measure forces accurately.
Forces are measured with a newton meter. Forces are measure in newtons (N).
The size of a force is measured in units called newtons (N). Include the word in a full scientific explanation, not as a single label.
Mistake: Pupils are often unable to match their experience of different forces with forces in newtons. Correction: Pupils are provided with opportunity to both measure and describe a range of forces.
