Year 8 - German
My plans: future tense
This unit revisits a range of learning from previous units, principally the future tense and tw0 verb structures, and infinitive clauses with 'zu'. Pronouns are revisited as well as word order 3 with 'wenn'.
You will learn to distinguish between subject, direct object and indirect object pronouns, and read and respond to a longer text.
The sound-symbol correspondence [ie] is pronounced as in 'Liebe'. The sound-symbol correspondence [ei] is pronounced as in 'frei'.
pronounced as in 'Liebe'. Say or write it in a short sentence so you use the word actively.
Mistake: Use the same word order as English when using indirect object pronouns. Correction: In German, the indirect object pronoun comes straight after the verb, not at the end of the sentence. For example, 'Musik ist mir wichtig.' - 'Music is important to me.'.
