Gymnastics jigsaw: technical fluency and group performance analysis
This unit will explore the use of various apparatus and flight based sequences whilst also giving pupils the opportunity to master, teach each other and analyse group performances. They will also learn how to set out their space safely.
You will learn to perform as part of a choreographed routine with the whole class.
Move: when performing in a large group, spatial awareness is important to prevent collisions and keep formation intact. Move: rehearsing your movements to ensure timing with the rest of the group enables a fluid and cohesive performance.

Mistake: Some pupils may struggle with the choreography, leading to frustration and disengagement. Correction: Differentiate within the choreography so that pupils have choices over the skills they perform. If you would like all pupils to perform the same skill, make sure this skill is accessible for all pupils.
