Functional prototypes: wearable technology
Pupils will deepen their understanding of systems and control. They will be introduced to engineered fabrics and the associated manufacturing processes. This knowledge and understanding will be applied through the design and manufacture of a wearable technology product.
You will learn to develop a light sequence control system, and test and iterate it.
Micro:bits are small computers which are are programmed using codes and blocks. Light sequences and loops can be used to develop control systems further.

Mistake: A light dependant resistor (LDR) only senses light levels. Correction: An LDR's resistance changes depending on the amount of light it is exposed to. As the light level increases, the resistance decreases. This change in resistance can create a voltage change, which can be used as a signal to control an output.
