This is a teacher led unit which introduces to pupils to the skills within their endorsements. Through a series of workshop activities, students experiment with a range of materials and techniques. They develop a range of studies exploring mark making media, print and mixed media.
You will learn to create a sculpture using found materials that reflect a theme or concept.
Found materials let artists explore new forms, textures and ideas not possible with traditional sculpture. Using found objects supports recycling, sustainability and an eco-friendly approach to making art.

Mistake: Found materials are just junk and don't belong in real artwork. Correction: Found materials bring unique textures and personal or cultural meaning to a sculpture.
