How are community identities changing?
In this unit pupils explore the concepts of identity, community, migration and belonging.
You will learn to explain what a community is and identify different ways in which we can be involved within it.
Our identities are shaped by many factors, including nature, nurture, and experiences, and change over time. We can have multiple identities that change depending on the situation, such as group or national identities.
who a person is, or the qualities of a person or group that make them different from others.
Mistake: Being involved in a community means only participating in big events or formal groups. Correction: Community involvement can also be about smaller, everyday actions, like helping a neighbour or being part of a social group. It does not always require big events or formal organisations.
