Pupils will identify a client and investigate the client's needs and wants. They will use and develop different research techniques. They will learn about the economic viability of designs to design a product for a high-profile event.
You will learn to identify a range of people within a context and be aware of environmental, social and cultural considerations.
Designers consider users from different social and cultural backgrounds. A context is the situation within which something exists or happens.
the situation within which something exists or happen.
Mistake: When investigating a context, you should only consider the user's preferences. Correction: Within a context, there are different groups of people who have different preferences. It is important for designers to consider these groups and their different social and cultural backgrounds, as well environmental considerations.
