Year 10 - French
People and Lifestyle: Mes projets
This unit contrasts the near future (aller + infinitive) with the simple future of regular and common irregular verbs. In addition there is a focus on negation, introducing ne...plus and ne ...pas encore, and a revisit of the use of avoir + noun where the English equivalent is 'BE + adjective'.
You will learn to refer to future events both in formal writing and in informal speaking tasks and demonstrate your awareness of Francophone cultural events.
Use part of the verb 'aller' plus an infinitive to express going to do e.g. Elles vont visiter Paris. Conjugate the simple future of -er verbs by adding the correct ending to the infinitive.
2-verb structure meaning 'going to + infinitive'. Say or write it in a short sentence so you use the word actively.
Mistake: In the acronym PALM used to help structure a response to a picture, M for Mood only includes how people are feeling. Correction: In PALM, Mood can be both people's emotions and the surrounding conditions, such as weather, time of day.
