In this unit pupils will examine issues around sexuality, the family and relationships. They will study how Christians and other worldviews understand ideas of family and marriage and address how these affect views on issues such as divorce.
You will learn to explain how and why churches support families.
There are many teachings in Christian sources of authority which show the importance of famillies. There are many different ways that churches support families in their communities.

Mistake: That support for families only involves supporting young children. Correction: Churches may also support couples intending to marry, counselling for couples who are struggling, youth activities and support elderly members of families too.
