Issues of Relationships
In this unit pupils will examine issues around sexuality, the family and relationships. They will study how Christians and other worldviews understand ideas of family and marriage and address how these affect views on issues such as divorce.
You will learn to explain Christian attitudes to adultery and cohabitation.
There are clear Christian teachings aainst committing adultery. The story of Jesus and the woman caught in adultery is a key story showing Jesus' response to this issue.
voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not their spouse; also known as sex outside of marriage.
Mistake: That all Christians are against cohabitation. Correction: Some branches of Christianity accept cohabitation if the couple intend to marry.
