Issues of Relationships
In this unit pupils will examine issues around sexuality, the family and relationships. They will study how Christians and other worldviews understand ideas of family and marriage and address how these affect views on issues such as divorce.
You will learn to explain different Christian views on supporting families and on non-religious marriages and cohabitation.
There are different beliefs and attitudes within Chrisitanity on various issues of relationships in the 21st Century. A civil wedding ceremony is a legal ceremony but not a religious one.

Mistake: That any religious wedding has the same legal status as a civil one. Correction: Some churches may be able to perform legal marriages, but not all religious marriages are also legal ceremonies.
