You will learn to use knowledge of divisibility rules when the divisor is 10 to solve problems.
All numbers in the 10 times table have a ones digit of 0. All numbers in the 10 times table are divisible by 10.
When a number can be divided into equal parts without any left over, we can say that it is divisible by ___. Use this word when showing your method, then check your final answer is reasonable.
Mistake: Children may not see 2-digit numbers as divisible by 10 if they are not in their 10 times tables. Correction: Encourage children to apply the knowledge that a number is divisible by 10 when it has a ones digit of 0 Examples showing this idea can be explored and displayed to reference within the lesson.
