This unit will enable pupils to refine their understanding of how they can develop their motor competence of hitting and striking to send the ball into space in order to win a game. Pupils will reflect on why hitting into space is essential in order to score points against the opposing team.
You will learn to hit the ball with a racket accurately towards a target.
Move: hitting the ball accurately requires you to direct your racket head towards the target. Move: following through with your racket, towards the target, will increase hitting accuracy.

Mistake: When hitting the ball, pupils focus on power and hitting it as hard as they can, neglecting the need for technique and accuracy. Correction: Ensure pupils understand the importance of aiming and using the correct technique for the best accuracy. It is best to master this before attempting to add more power.
