Year 4 - Art and design
Architecture: drawing and 3D design
In this unit, pupils investigate an architect and learn to draw buildings in an architectural style. They may work in groups to respond to an architectural design challenge and design and make a solution in two and three dimensions, before making a group presentation.
You will learn to work with others to design a building by combining ideas and planning together.
Collaboration means sharing ideas respectfully and building on each other's strengths. A design brief is stronger when it's shaped by input from multiple people.
working together with others to achieve a shared goal.
Mistake: Group work means I only do one small part and don't need to help with the rest. Correction: While roles may be shared, everyone in the group should contribute ideas and help make decisions together to ensure the final design feels like a team effort.
