Year 4 - Design and technology
Simple programming and control: data loggers
This unit develops pupils' knowledge of simple circuits, programming and control. Fault finding of circuits will be introduced. Pupils will learn how to integrate a BBC Micro:bit in a simple circuit and use sensors to program a light display.
You will learn to identify safety measures in electrical circuits and install components safely.
An electrical insulator stops electricity passing through it. An electrical conductor allows electricity to pass through it.
actions taken to prevent accidents when working with electricity.
Mistake: Circuits in the classroom are always safe to use. Correction: Electricity is dangerous and needs to be carefully worked with. It can't always be seen and hazards need to be identified.
