Year 4 - Design and technology
Simple programming and control: data loggers
This unit develops pupils' knowledge of simple circuits, programming and control. Fault finding of circuits will be introduced. Pupils will learn how to integrate a BBC Micro:bit in a simple circuit and use sensors to program a light display.
You will learn to test your data logger and understand the results.
Data logger prototypes need to be tested and improved before being used in a traffic survey. Traffic survey data can produce patterns.
the effect something has on the surroundings that an animal or plant lives in.
Mistake: Traffic surveys are only about collecting data. Correction: Data collected from the data loggers can be used to understand what is happening in an environment and make suggestions for improvements.
