In this unit pupils will read, write and convert time between analogue and digital 12- and 24-hour clocks. They will solve problems involving converting from hours to minutes, minutes to seconds, years to months, weeks to days.

Mistake: Pupils will need to be able to count in steps of 6 to succeed in this lesson and have a good recall of the 6 times table. Calculation errors will occur frequently if there in insecurity in this area. Correction: Consider pre-teaching pupils still insecure with this, and / or providing scaffolding such as a times tables grid.
