CAD structures: architecture
This unit introduces 3D Computer Aided Design to pupils. They will investigate modern architects to understand the techniques and materials they use in sustainable housing. They will develop knowledge of TinkerCAD to design and present a model sustainable house.
You will learn to navigate and use menus on the Tinkercad user interface.
In Tinkercad, the workplanes are the design area and can be rotated using the Viewcube. 3D shapes can be moved in different views in Tinkercad.

Mistake: Tinkercad is a paid-for software that will cost schools money and is unsafe to use. Correction: Tinkercad is free to use and schools can set up their own classrooms for pupils to work safely in.
