This unit develops pupils' knowledge and 3D joining techniques when working with woven fabrics. Accessible design is introduced by investigating the work of fashion designers. Pupils apply this knowledge and understanding to make and promote an accessible product.
You will learn to personalise a fabric product using stitching techniques and appliqué.
Stitching techniques developed through the primary phase can be applied to add decoration. Appliqué decorative techniques can be achieved by stitching items onto a design.
