Coasts: what shapes life at the coast?
This unit teaches pupils how physical and human processes shape our coastline. Pupils will also learn about the threats and challenges coastlines face in a warming world.
You will learn to explain why different stakeholders have varying views about coastal management.
Management plans are in place in order to protect the coast. In England and Wales, local councils work with the government to implement Shoreline Management Plans.

Correction: In almost all cases, there are a wide range of opinions about coastal management projects, some in support of the plans and others not in favour for various reasons that they feel are important.
