This unit explores correct bodyweight techniques and training for strength, power, endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination. Pupils learn to adapt exercises, stay safe and understand the physical, mental and social benefits of activity.
You will learn to complete a basic circuit training session to improve your fitness.
Move: completing exercises correctly and safely will develop your strength and endurance. Think: heart rate, breathing rate and body temperature all increase in response to exercise.

Mistake: You need to go to a gym to build muscle strength and endurance. Correction: Body weight exercises, that require little or no equipment, can be performed in a safe space in your own home and can be incredibly effective at building muscular strength, endurance and general fitness.
