Unit Summary

This unit will apply a wider range of tactics and strategies through football. Increasingly complex approaches to attack and strategies to defend will be applied whilst enhancing knowledge of the rules and tactics specific to football. Pupils will also work on their organisational skills.

Lesson Summary

You will learn to penetrate the defence and create space through dispersal.

Key Notes

  • Move: shooting with the instep (laces) or outside of the foot applies more speed and power.
  • Move: leaning slightly back and striking the bottom of the ball creates lift for a lofted pass or shot.
  • Think: long distance passes help us to increase attacking options by making full use of pitch width and depth.
