Create a flower garden: introducing the 7 elements of art
Through hands-on activities, pupils will experiment with different making techniques and materials to create artworks based on the 7 elements of art. Pupils will gain a deeper understanding of how artists use the elements within their artworks.
You will learn to print simple motifs to create patterns.
Repeating motifs creates patterns. Ink and rollers can be used to create prints using vegetables.

Mistake: Patterns can only be made with shapes and lines. Correction: Remind children that shapes and lines can be used to make patterns, but motifs can be used to create more complex patterns.
