In this unit, pupils will develop brush control and knowledge of paint colours, techniques & processes. They will experiment with mixing and applying colours in visual contexts, for creative effects and to solve problems. They will use a variety of techniques to create a seasonal triptych.
You will learn to mix and apply hues of orange using a range of painting techniques.
Know that orange is a secondary colour, made from two primary colours. We are able to mix hues of oranges using primary colours.

Mistake: Artists only use paintbrushes to apply paint. Correction: Artists can use a paintbrush to apply paint, but they can also use other tools, such as leaves, sticks and pinecones.
