Year 1 - Computing
Digital painting
In this unit, pupils develop their understanding of how to manipulate digital devices by using painting tools. They practise by creating digital paintings, gaining inspiration from the work of artists whilst reflecting on their preferences when painting with and without the use of digital devices.
You will learn to change the style of your digital tools to work in different ways in a painting program.
The paintbrush tool can change size to alter the thickness of the stroke. Tapping on a touch screen makes dots and holding your finger down makes lines.
how big the paintbrush is. Add one real device or system example to prove understanding.
Mistake: Dots of colour only appear when you click and drag. Correction: A single click with the paintbrush tool will make a dot of colour.
