Adjectives can be used to describe a character's appearance and personality, such as 'small, sneaky Jack'. When using two adjectives, a comma is placed in between them, such as 'small, sneaky Jack'.

Mistake: Pupils may find it difficult to generate appearance words and may use words like 'curious' to describe his appearance as well. Correction: Provide images to support them with generating ideas and explain that they can describe the appearance of specific parts of Jack e.g. 'yellow wellies', 'brown eyes', 'wavy hair', 'long legs' etc.
