In this unit, pupils learn about nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs. Specifically, they learn about the conventions around singular and plural common nouns and proper nouns. They learn that adjectives can both describe and compare and they learn that verbs can be both doing verbs and being verbs.
You will learn to use an adjective to compare nouns.
Adjectives are words that can compare nouns. Comparing nouns is another way to describe them.

Mistake: Pupils may struggle to think of adjectives to compare two nouns. Correction: Make use of physical objects, images and word banks to support them with generating vocabulary.
