In this unit pupils will combine 2 or more parts to make a whole. They will learn addends can be represented in any order and that the = sign shows the whole and sum of the parts are equal.
You will learn to find the missing part in an equation.

Shows that one number or expression is equal to another. Use this word when showing your method, then check your final answer is reasonable.
Mistake: Children may think the missing number in an equation always has to be the whole. Correction: Encourage children to record their thinking, bringing attention to the missing part by underlining it.
