Start with singing: finding my singing voice
This unit helps pupils to discover the difference between their speaking, or chanting, and singing voice. Through a diverse range of echo and call and response songs pupils will begin to pitch match songs that use an age appropriate small range of notes.
You will learn to use your singing voice and sing songs with your friends.
We warm up before singing so that our bodies, minds and voices are ready to sing. We can use our voices to chant and sing together.

Mistake: Singing louder means the children are more engaged and singing better. Correction: For children to develop sound intonation and accuracy, they need to sing gently and not be encouraged to always sing loudly.
